Nissia Kamares is a little oasis hidden in Karademena. It's tucked away from the bustle of the town and beach but yet so close. The rooms are well designed and are set in lovely gardens in a courtyard style. The pool is fine with plenty of beds, if that's your thing. However, the best thing at Nissia Kamares are the people. Whether it's staff on reception, in the bar, in maintenance etc they are all so friendly and helpful. The team there make you feel welcome immediately and go the extra mile if you have any requests. They obviously enjoy working at the hotel and are full of useful information about restaurants, tours, car hire, events etc The morning buffet breakfast from 8 to 11 is a very chilled enjoyable daily event with plenty of choice. It's a boutique style hotel of 30 or so rooms and adds to the friendly atmosphere. I have 4 recommendations as trips: 1) It's worth taking the boat trip to island of Nisyros which remains in the classic Greek whitewash style buildings and a trip up to the amazing Steffano Crater. 2) Hire a car and visit Kefalos beach then wade & swim across to Kastri island. Climb the rocks to the church and ring the bell. Make sure you wear footwear though. 3) Kos is the home of the father of medicine Hippocrates and you can view the tree that he tutored his students in Kos Town. 4) Book an evening coach up to Zia to view the amazing sunset and pre-book a meal in Omoredon restauarant. Enjoy

A gem of a hotel. The apartments are set out like a little village amongst beautiful gardens. We stayed in the superior apartment and it was fabulous. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. It had a small kitchenette with everything we might need. The sun terrace was an added bonus with a sun lounger and table and chairs. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had a great selection of both hot and cold choices. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the main strip of bars, restaurants and shops, but far enough away to be peaceful. We loved the Nissia Kamares and would love to come back. We would definitely recommend to others.

Everything was wonderful! Because it was May and not all the rooms were occupied, they offered us a studio inside the complex instead of the one with street view. The studio was beyond expectations: equipped with everything that was needed, new furniture, modern bathroom, the view from the balcony to the beautiful courtyard full of flowers; everything in Greek style. Cleaning is done daily, perfectly. Only words of praise for the employees; they made a short presentation of the island and helped us with recommendations for places to visit and for car rental agencies. Location close to the beach and a lot of shops and tavernas. We would come back anytime with pleasure.

Absolutely loved this hotel, I had such a lovely time and was so sad to leave, the feed was delicious in the bar area. Alex and his fantastic colleagues made us so welcome and made the most delicious cocktails I have ever tasted. The rooms feel like Greek paradise and the whole layout of the hotel is dreamy! The town of Kardamaina is just so friendly and welcoming, it’s very good value for money everywhere you visit. And all the local restaurants are very delicious. Can’t wait to return!!

A lovely place in Kardamena, a little hidden away and an excellent find. The apartments are furnished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. The pool area is spotless and there is a pool bar. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We came late in the season and was really only there because we were stuck on Kos after taking our son to the airport due to high winds not allowing us to travel back to our home on Kalymnos . But, what a find. We will certainly be returning.
